Talbot Village Trust received a Community Hero Award from MYTIME Young Carers in recognition of its support for young carers
At the end of March, Talbot Village Trust was honoured to receive a Community Hero Award from MYTIME Young Carers, recognising the Trust’s ongoing support for young carers in the local community. Trustee Richard Cutler proudly accepted the award on behalf of the Trust.
The recognition was completely unexpected, and we are truly grateful to MYTIME Young Carers for this special acknowledgment. Under the inspiring leadership of Krista Cartlidge, MYTIME is dedicated to championing young carers, ensuring they receive the support, recognition, and opportunities they deserve.
Krista shared: “On behalf of everyone at MYTIME Young Carers, I want to extend our deepest gratitude to Talbot Village Trust for your incredibly generous support over the past 3 years. Your contribution is not just a donation – it is a powerful investment in the lives of the young carers we serve. Because of you, we have been able to deliver our programmes in the Talbot Village area, which has enabled us to identify more young carers than ever before and provide them with the opportunities and support they deserve. Talbot Village Trust not only support MYTIME with vital funding but also by attending events, introducing us to other great people and organisations like themselves and by being on hand for advice whenever we need it.
Your commitment to our cause enables us to continue our work, making a real difference not just in the local community but also to young carers across the UK. It’s through partnerships like this that we are reminded of the kindness and generosity that exists in the world.”
Richard added: “This award truly belongs to MYTIME and the incredible young carers they support. We are honoured to stand alongside them and will continue to do what we can to help raise awareness of their vital work. We don’t do this work for recognition, but it’s truly heartwarming to know it makes a difference.”
