Green spaces

Green spaces are crucial to our wellbeing: helping people to relax, unwind and enjoy the natural world.

We're fortunate to be custodians of more than 140 acres of land, comprising of dwellings, woodlands and fields. Much of our land is publicly-accessible, and we're keen to explore how we can improve and enhance areas for people who enjoy being in nature.

Allotments

There are over 30 allotments around Talbot Village. They are open to anyone who lives locally and wants to grow their own fruit, vegetables, and flowers. We operate a waiting list.

Woodland

The woodland surrounding Talbot Village is used by various groups including a Forest School, and by nearby media, science, and humanities students. Get in touch with our team at info@talbotvillagetrust.org, if you’d like to find out more.

Talbot Heath

Our Trust is one of the custodians, alongside BCP Council, of the protected Talbot Heath, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and home to diverse and rare wildlife. We’re fully committed to protecting and enhancing this important wildlife habitat.

"We maintain a range of natural environments for the use of local people and visitors, and we closely monitor these and ensure that they're effective, protected and unique. We're keen for people and communities to explore these wonderful spaces - from forest schools to mud kitchens, den-building to forest bathing and more."
